How Do I Get Over My Fear Of Driving?

I'm 18, out of high school and i still do not have my permit or license yet, because of my fear of getting into a accident and becoming killed because of it. I stay in ATL metro so i basically need one 2 get around or take the MARTA (which i hate to do everyday). I have no family support to help me (my mom quit trying and my dad doesn't care) so what should i do?
