How does this "God created evolution" thing work, exactly?

Natural selection alone cannot account for all the variation we see in animals today. In order for evolution to occur at the rate it does, it has to be guided by something other than just random chance--some form of "artificial" selection, as opposed to "natural." As for whether or not it points to a cruel God--how should I know? I never claimed to be smarter than God. Obviously though you are, since you think you could do it better. Why don't you get right on that DNA sequence that would make us more efficient then?
